How is TIES funded?
The TIES project was made possible especially through initial funding by the Swiss Stiftung Bevölkerung, Migration und Umwelt (BMU), and a major grant from the German VolkswagenStiftung. Additional support comes through the European Science Foundation, the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), a number of national and local institutions, and from the researchers' home institutions and universities.

The Marie Curie Fellowship Programme allowed the recruitment and training of fourteen additional junior researchers.

The wider dissemination of the project's findings at the city and national levels is made also possible through funding from a diverse range of sources (see the separate country pages).
